Southern Drawl Kayak Fishing

Steve Gibson's Southern Drawl Kayak Fishing is southwest Florida's premier kayak guide service. Catering to anglers of all skill levels, Southern Drawl concentrates on fresh- and saltwater fishing from Tampa Bay to The Everglades.

We offer four-hour, six-hour and full-day outings with spin or fly tackle. We supply all tackle and lures. However, you may bring your own.

Our specialty is our guided Everglades trips. These all-day sessions target freshwater exotics: oscar, Mayan cichlid and peacock bass. In addition, we catch largemougth bass, bluegill, speckled perch, shellcracker and other species.

We also have spots in The 'Glades where we encounter juvenile tarpon and snook.

Around the Sarasota area, we fish Sarasota Bay, Little Sarasota Bay, Anna Maria Sound, Palma Sola Bay and southern Tampa Bay for snook, spotted seatrout, redfish, tarpon and other species.

We have a fleet of two NuCanoe Frontier 12-foot kayaks and a 13 1/2-foot NuCanoe Pursuit.
